2018 Manitoba Harm Reduction Conference:  Improving Access in Rural, Remote, Northern, and Indigenous Communities

People who use drugs

New injection supplies, crack kits, and naloxone will be available at the conference.

Sobriety and abstinence is not a requirement of attendance.

People who smoke

No smoking is permitted in the conference area or the casino. There are designated smoking areas outside the casino and hotel.   

There are smoking rooms available for hotel guests.

Wheelchair users

The casino and hotel are wheelchair accessible.

There are a limited number of accessible rooms available for hotel guests.

There are designated disability parking spaces on site. Valet is also available.

The washrooms in the conference area include accessible stalls.

Deaf and hard of hearing people

Please indicate in your registration package if you require interpretation services.

All presenters will use microphones.

Any videos will include closed captioning.


The conference will be delivered in English.

Wellness Space

A quiet room will be provided for participants.

Trans and non-binary people

A gender neutral washroom will be available.


This is not a scent-free environment. Conference activities will include smudging.
